Seeing this phenomenon, it is important to know how the role of men where Al-Tabari represents classical interpretation and Zainab al Ghazali represents contemporary interpretation. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The results of this study indicate that Imam al-Tabari interprets that men are responsible for women because men are more important than women, men's priority is because they provide dowry and maintenance, whereas according to Zainab al-Ghazali Allah SWT determines men to be responsible for women, and they have the right to lead and be guardians in the family. The difference between al-Tabari and Zainab Al-Ghazali lies in the interpretation in dealing with wives who are nushuz, that is, if they don't change after being given advice, according to al-Tabari if they don't change, confine them to their place of residence, whereas according to Zainab Al- Ghazali if it doesn't change after being given advice then ignore it by separating beds.
2025-01-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Lumanatul Latifah, Fauzi Fathur Rosihttps://al-bunyan.my.id/index.php/i/article/view/22Financial Independence Perspective of Surah Al-Baqarah2024-06-12T13:10:28+00:00Fatimatuzzahrafatimatuzahra526@gmail.comMisbahul Munirfatimatuzahra526@gmail.com
A key component of both individual and collective life is financial literacy, and Surah Al-Baqarah in Islam offers comprehensive instructions on managing money. In facing the complexity of contemporary challenges, hadith methodology has an important role in supporting the understanding and dissemination of Islamic teachings. Syuhudi Ismail, with his critical thinking approach, has made a significant contribution to the development of hadith research methodology. This research will identify the methodological principles proposed by Syuhudi Ismail, and explain the context of his thinking, using library research methods. The results of this research state that in Syuhudi Ismail's concept of thought, the object of hadith research is divided into 2, namely sanad research (Naqd al Khariji) and matan research (Naqd al-Dakhiliy). In sanad research (Naqd al Khariji), it begins with carrying out I'tibar al-Sanad and then continues with researching the personalities of the narrators and their methods of narration. In this research on sanad, Syuhudi mentions the elements of the rules for the validity of sanad in the simplified terms "major and minor rules". Meanwhile, in Matan Hadith research activities, Syuhudi gave several steps that researchers must take, including: 1). Examining the matan after looking at the quality of the sanad, 2) looking at the meaningful arrangement of the matan pronunciations, 3) examining the content of the matan, and concluding the results of the research on the matan hadith. The results of this research on hadith matan will revolve around two options, whether the matan hadith is shahih or dha'if.
2025-01-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Ach. With the help of the Qur'an, the Prophet helped his companions modify their perspectives. In addition to reciting the Qur'an to his companions, the Prophet also used to explain its meaning to them. The guidelines for reading the Qur'an were created to enlighten future generations on how their forefathers arrived at a certain interpretation so that they wouldn't overlook the problems unique to their own eras. Among the distinguished Qur'anic exegetes that India has produced, Abul Kalam Azad has a noteworthy position. It is an Urdu commentary on the Qur'an written by Azad between 1915 and 1945, a turbulent time when he was imprisoned by the British government multiple times for extended periods of time. In the lengthy list of his writings on many themes, his Tarjumān al-Qur’ān is actually his Magnum Opus. The most notable contribution to Islamic scholarship made by Abul Kalam Azad was Tarjumān al-Qur’ān, a sincere endeavour to explain the message as it was understood by the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) followers’ during his lifetime. According to him, commentators in more recent times have diverted from the previous accurate understanding under the influence of foreign culture and ideas. It is more detailed than a simple translation, but it is by no means complex. One of the greatest translations of the Quran was considered by Arabic academics to be the original "Tarjumān al-Qur’ān " Maulana Azad was a renowned Arabic scholar who was well-known throughout the Muslim world in addition to being a freedom fighter and national leader. Everyone agrees that Maulana's greatest work is the Tarjumān al-Qur’ān. In doing so, he has attempted to give the Qur'anic text its intended meaning—or the interpretation that the Prophet's followers had during his lifetime—or the meaning that it originally intended to have. It takes the form of a translation of the Qur'an with explanations, accompanied where appropriate by footnotes and comments. This study goes on the library mode of data analysis. The literary masterwork of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in Urdu, Tarjumān al-Qur’ān, has been translated into several languages and is known for standing out above other comments of a similar nature.
2025-01-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammed Rashid Jalalyhttps://al-bunyan.my.id/index.php/i/article/view/23Tasahul Imam Hakim: Case Study of Hadith 86 in the Book Mustadrok Al-Hakim2024-10-27T14:13:22+00:00Faiz Abdullahfaizabdullah973@gmail.comTajul Arifintajularifin64@uinsgd.ac.id
In historical literature, there are many hadith scholars from various eras. These hadith scholars have different levels, especially in the science of al-jarh wa at-ta`dil. They can be classified as strict (mutasyaddid), moderate (mu`tadil), or lenient (mutasahhil). Among the scholars considered lenient is Imam Al-Hakim. This can be seen in his book Mustadrak al-Hakim. This paper uses a qualitative method, specifically a pure library research study, focusing on al-Mustadrak 'ala al-Shahihain as primary data, and applying the hadith science approach in analyzing the lenient perspective of Imam Al-Hakim. The result of this research is that the hadith discussed in this paper is considered weak (da'if) because in its chain of narrators (sanad) there are Qatadah bin Du'amah and Hasan al-Basri, both of whom are considered mudallis (obfuscators), and in this chain, neither of them narrated clearly (sarih).
2025-01-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Faiz Abdullah, Tajul Arifinhttps://al-bunyan.my.id/index.php/i/article/view/33Al-Aşīl Wa al-Dakhīl: Sumber Autentik dan Non-Autentik Penafsiran Al-Qur’an 2024-10-27T14:03:26+00:00Eka Sulistiyawatiekasulistiyawati300@gmail.comAnni Anisaannianisa@wiraraja.ac.id
In Islamic tradition, the interpretation of the Qur’an is one of the most important disciplines. The exegete or expert in exegesis has the task of explaining the meaning of the verses of the Qur’an, so that they can be understood and practiced by Muslims in various aspects of life. To carry out this task, the exegete uses various sources that are considered authoritative in interpreting the Qur’an. However, the sources used by the exegete are often the object of discussion and debate, especially in terms of their validity and authority. Thus, the issue of the sources used by the exegete is not unly a technical problem in interpretation, but also concerns the issue of authority, methodology, and the relevance of religious teachings in the context of changing times. Apart from this background, this study aims to explain the sources used by interpreters, both authentic and non-authentic sources. This study uses a type of library research and a qualitative approach. The results of the study, the author concludes that the authentic sources of interpretation that can be used in interpreting the Qur’an are; Qur’an, hadith, the words of the companions, the words of the tābi‘īn, Arabic, and ijtihad. While non-authentic sources include; hadith maudhū’ and isrāilliyāt.
2025-01-25T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Eka Sulistiyawati, Anni Anisahttps://al-bunyan.my.id/index.php/i/article/view/45The Concept of Ru'yat Al-Hilal According to Muhammad Quraish Shihab (Analytical Study of Q.S. Muslims often argue about the interpretation and application of ru'yat al-Hilal. Many scholars and scholars have different views. In-depth study of this concept is relevant and important. An The problem raised in this study is how M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal in QS. al-Baqarah and how the influence of M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal on the current context. The purpose of this study is to find out M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal in QS. al-Baqarah and to find out the influence of M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal on the current context. The approach in this research is a qualitative type of literature (Library research), This involves data documentation activities through literature studies, especially related to the mufassir's views on ru'yat al-Hilal. The results of this study indicate that M. Quraish Shihab explained two important aspects related to ru'yat al-hilal in the verse, the first is that if someone has seen the moon with the naked eye, it is sufficient as a marker of the beginning of worship time. The second aspect he reveals is that the crescent moon acts as a timepiece both for humans and as an indication of the beginning of the time for the Hajj pilgrimage, because the time of worship is very important for Muslims. These interpretations are very influential in determining the beginning of Ramadan, as is the case with the Muhammadiyah and NU (Nahdhatul Ulama) organizations to this day.
2025-01-25T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Abdul Muiz, Romy Furqani
